-My goals and intentions for this artwork were to be creative, practice using different colors to produce different outcomes, and carve out the lights so the darks would be left.
- I accomplished this by using bright colors and planning out what I was going to carve prior to carving.
- I was most surprised by how many different my prints could be depending on the colors used.
- the most difficult challenge I had to face was carving out the lights to create the dark parts of my print.
- I experienced the shift from my left brain to the right brain when choosing the colors for my print and carving out my design.
- My print works well where the texture is shown on the jacket and collar.
- I have learned to emphasize the darks in contrast to the lights and it will definitely help me with future drawings or paintings
- I have learned from Helen to show the texture because she did a great job stressing that with the hair from her dog.
- if I had a do-over, I would do different colors for each piece rather than doing similar colors for each one to make it more interesting.
- I feel like the best thing about my work is the color contrast and the texture shown.
this is an excellent print run. consistent and colorful
